Today was just another dreary/half-rainy/half-sunny day.
But then, I caught a glimpse of color in the sky.
And, just as I was driving over the river bridge...
There it was in full view.
With its perfect arch and vibrant colors.
A rainbow.
A magical, delightful rainbow.
Which brings up the age-old question...
What’s so amazing about rainbows?
Why do these bright colors in the sky tend to make us smile?
Is it our childlike mind that tells us, “somewhere over the rainbow,
the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true”?
the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true”?
Or, is it our innate curiosity that causes us to wonder, “what’s on the other side”?
Just what is it about this beautiful phenomenon
that dispels logic and brings out the dreamer in all of us?
Maybe one day I will have a grand, philosophical answer.
But for now, I’ll enjoy the magic.
And keep chasing those rainbows.
